Two people die in separate road accidents in Limerick and Clare

A minibus driver in his 30s was fatally injured when the minibus crashed into Athlunkard Bridge in Limerick overnight.
The accident happened on Corbally Road at around 3am this morning, gardaí have confirmed.
The male driver was the only occupant of the minibus.
His body has since been taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post-mortem.
Local diversions are in place as Athlunkard Bridge, Corbally is currently closed.
In Moyasta, Co Clare, a pedestrian, a woman in her late 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene of another collision with a van last night.
Her body was also taken to University Hospital Limerick for a post mortem.
No other injuries were reported in this accident.
The accident happened just after 7pm on the N67 at Moyasta between Kilrush and Kilkee in Co Clare.
Local diversions are in place as part of the N67 is currently closed near Moyasta.
“The services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested,” a Garda spokesman said.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to these two collisions to come forward.
Any road user who has camera footage, including dashcams, is asked to make this footage available to gardaí.
