UM and Miami Dolphins players partner with AutoNation to visit pediatric cancer patients – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

MIAMI (WSVN) – Miami’s football teams are giving hope to those in need.

Miami Dolphins and University of Miami Hurricanes players partnered with AutoNation to distribute “Totes for Hope” at the Sylvester Cancer Center in Miami.

It is an initiative to help patients receive life-saving treatments.

“It just brings a little comfort to these patients in a difficult time by trying to make it easier for them today,” said Benny Dominguez, AutoNation market president.

“It was a very special day. It was super cool to be a part of what they go through every day for a day in their lives and to be able to support them through it,” said Miami Dolphins quarterback Skylar Thompson.

The event is part of AutoNation’s annual Drive Pink campaign.

More than $35 million has been raised and donated to cancer research and treatment.
