Missing abroad |

“At 12:35 a.m. she texted a family friend to say she was on her way but never arrived.”

Una Joyce was last seen in Berlin on Saturday evening.

The family of a Donegal woman who disappeared in Germany say they are very concerned for her welfare.

The Gaoth Dobhair woman Úna Joyce is said to have boarded a bus at Reuchlinstrasse train station in Berlin last Saturday evening.

She was supposed to travel towards Hasenheide on Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The 23-year-old texted a friend at 12:35 p.m. to tell her she was on her way.

However, her family now says she never achieved her goal.

Úna has been living abroad for several years.

The young woman’s friends and family shared a poster on social media in an effort to find her.

The poster reads: “Úna Joyce was last seen leaving Berlichingenstrasse on October 28th at around 11 p.m.”

“She is said to have been on a bus from the Reuchlinstrasse bus station towards Hasenheide.

“At 12:35 a.m. she texted a family friend that she was on her way but never arrived.

“Úna is Irish with pale skin, blue eyes and dark curls. She was wearing a yellow rain jacket.”

A friend of the Joyce family said they would like to ask the Irish public to help them find Úna through friends abroad.

“If the Irish public could also reach out to family or friends living in Berlin, that would be very grateful,” said a family member.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Berlin 25 police district on 00 49 30 4664 225 701.
