Unicorn proptech startup NoBroker raises $5 million from Google

Unicorn proptech startup NoBroker has raised $5 million from tech giant Google as part of its expansion plan.

NoBroker has received funding from Google, which is joining existing investors General Atlantic, Tiger Global and Moore Strategic Ventures in its Series E round, the Bengaluru-based company said in a statement.

In November 2021, NoBroker.Com raised $210 million from investors including General Atlantic and Tiger Global to expand its business to 50 cities. The Series E funding round was led by General Atlantic, Tiger Global Management and Moore Strategic Ventures.

The NoBroker platform helps with renting, buying, selling, housekeeping services, financial services to company administration services through NoBrokerHood.

“One of the key areas where we will leverage this partnership will be to build unique solutions that help simplify the lives of residents of NoBrokerHood societies. Our goal is to grow aggressively and reach 1 lakh companies over the next few years,” said Akhil Gupta, co-founder and Chief Technology and Product Officer of NoBroker.Com.

The company, which began operations in 2013, has raised nearly $370 million to date.

Google and NoBroker will work together to improve the user experience and work to make a user’s entire real estate journey – from finding a home to living in a housing association – a seamless experience, the statement said.

NoBroker currently operates in six cities – Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Pune while NoBrokerHood operates in five other cities Kolkata, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Lucknow.
