Walgreens is making big changes at 400 stores — and that’s good news for late-night shoppers

WALGREENS fans at hundreds of stores can now order thousands of items to their doorstep anytime, day or night.
The drugstore giant announced that its same-day delivery service will now be available 24 hours a day.
Customers in select stores can order more than 27,000 different items any time of day, either through the Walgreens app or via same-day online delivery.
Eligible items include over-the-counter medications, groceries, and personal care products.
“Walgreens understands that concerns about health and wellbeing aren’t exclusively during business hours and that needs can arise at any time of the day – so we’re always looking for ways to enhance the customer experience with convenient and trusted solutions.” Stefanie Kruse, Group Vice President of Digital Commerce at Walgreens said in a Expression.
Nearly 400 24-hour Walgreens locations across the country will participate in the new delivery times.

To further entice customers to try the new service, Walgreens is offering free shipping on orders $20 or more through Saturday, December 10th.
Customers must enter promo code NOW20 to unlock free shipping.
A few catches
However, there are a few things to note about the new service.
Walgreens said alcohol shipments will be limited to only select locations in Florida and Illinois.
Effective immediately, Walgreens in Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Maine, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia and Wyoming will not participate in 24/7 delivery.
Those ordering prescription drugs from Walgreen must use a separate service, recipe delivery.
Typically, Walgreens aims to offer same-day delivery on its items between 9am and 9pm – but this may vary by store.
