Warner Chappell Production Music expands to Brazil under the direction of Renato Moraes

Warner Chappell Production Music (WCPM), the production and custom music unit of music publisher Warner Chappell Music (WCM), is expanding to Brazil with a new team in São Paulo led by Renato Moraes.
Moraes will report directly to Sinéad Hartmann, Vice President, Licensing & Music Creative at WPM and will work closely with WCM Brazil’s Sync team, led by Flávia Cesar, Director of Strategic, Commercial, Film, Sync, and Licensing.
According to him, Moraes has been a director at WCPM since August 2022 LinkedIn page.
He has been in the music industry for two decades and before joining WCPM he was Head of Recordings and Publishings at Music Branding Brazil.

He will lead WCPM Brazil’s efforts to expand the company’s footprint by offering its repertoire, which includes more than 190,000 titles and sound design, to the many film, television, radio and advertising clients in the region.
WCPM Brazil says it will also offer personalized music services and pursue broader creative collaborations in the market.

Brazil’s music industry has grown in recent years amid government efforts to crack down on music piracy.
In 2021, Brazil’s music streaming service revenue grew 32% and, together with Mexico, accounted for 66.5% of Latin America’s streaming revenue that year, according to the IFPI Global Music Report 2022.

WCPM’s expansion into Brazil comes over a year after the launch of its global rebranding, which includes a new logo inspired by its parent company, WCM.

The company has composed music for numerous TV shows, films, trailers and commercials, and recent collaborations include trailers for BLONDE, horn for Jesus. save your soul and The Northman; and TV placements for justice league, Cruella, Loki, The Mandalorianand Emily in Paris.
