Warner Chappell signs global admin deal with singer-songwriter Amy Allen

American singer-songwriter Amy Allen has signed a global management deal with Warner Chappell Music (WCM).

As part of the agreement, WCM will manage Allen’s compositions worldwide, WCM announced in a press release on Monday (November 21).

Allen is best known for writing top hits for Harry Styles, Halsey, Selena Gomez and Lizzo.

She received a GRAMMY nomination for her work in Harry Styles’ Harry’s house Album and Lizzos Special. She is also among the first songwriters ever to be nominated for the newly established nomination “Songwriter of the Year” Category at the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards, to be held in February 2023.

Styles’ RIAA certified 5x platinum smash adore you, earned the artist his first Ivor Novello Award, in addition to his first No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Pop Songs Radio Airplay and Adult Contemporary Radio Airplay charts.

Allen also received an Ivor Novello Award for her work on the same song.

“Amy has made a name for herself in pop music, helping to write many of the genre’s biggest hits. Her recent Grammy nomination for the first-ever Songwriter of the Year award is a huge, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and an incredible moment for her. We are so proud to embark on this journey together at such an exciting and pivotal time in their careers,” said Ryan Press, President of Warner Chappell Music, North America.

Allen honed her songwriting skills at Berklee College of Music. She then formed the band Amy & The Engine and began collaborating with top songwriter Scott Harris.

In 2018, she co-wrote Halsey’s RIAA-certified 9x platinum and Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit, Without me, and co-wrote Selena Gomez’ Billboard Top 40 track Back to you.

Allen has also collaborated with other names in the music industry including King Princess, Niall Horan, Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes and Sam Smith.

In 2020, Allen launched her own solo career with the release of her singles Queen of the Silver Linings and Heaven, and in the same year it was added forbes’ coveted 30 under 30 list. She then released her debut solo EP Aww!

Allen’s recent work includes co-writing the Ballad of Styles ‘Matilda’ which charted in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
