QUARTER-BY-QUARTER MATCH REPORT
The Crows showed some skillful ball movement in the opening minutes as they locked the ball in their front half.
It resulted in two goals for veteran Taylor Walker and rising star Darcy Fogarty as Adelaide held a 13-point lead.
Rory Laird then added another from a stop before Fogarty kicked his second as the Crows jumped out to a 25-point lead, with the Eagles yet to score.
“Adelaide would be absolutely blown away by how they turned out. They’ve been incredible with sales,” Premier Eagle Will Schofield told Fox Footy.
“Alternatively, West Coast would be really disappointed with their launch.”
Dockers legend Matthew Pavlich added: “It’s been a flawless start from the Crows… There’s not a single element of the game that’s out of sync at the moment.
“The Eagles are all at sea at the moment. They get squeezed in their back half far too easily.”
West Coast finally hit the scoreboard in the last five minutes of the quarter when Oscar Allen converted a hard set-shot goal thanks to a great pass from Luke Shuey.
But Fogarty soon had his third goal after West Coast veteran Shannon Hurn scored a free-kick and 50-yard penalty.
