What Miami can expect this Memorial Day weekend – NBC 6 South Florida
Well, it’s officially summer in South Florida because this weekend is the Hyundai Air and Sea Show in Miami Beach.
The Greatest Show Above Earth begins Saturday, May 27th and concludes Sunday, May 28th with some exciting events sure to delight veterans and people of all ages.
The event begins daily at 12:00 p.m. ET and takes place between 11th and 14th Streets on Ocean Drive.
Guests who arrive on time can experience the first part of the show, which includes professional jet skiers, the ThunderCats boat racing exhibit and the Cigarette Offshore Powerboat Racing demonstration.
After the sea leg, the skies will be filled with the country’s finest, most advanced military technology, including parachute teams, jet displays, air and sea search and rescue drills and much more.
Also attending the event will be the Florida Power and Light Display Village, east of Lummus Park, which will feature flight and navigation simulators, tactical training equipment, shooting range simulators and even a US Army M1A2 tank for families.
The Air and Sea Show will also feature special guests like former NFL tight end Rob Gronkowski, as well as country musicians Breland, Big & Rich, Chris Janson and more.
