Where to find (and catch) Clawitz in Pokémon Violet.

A creature exclusive to Pokemon Violet, the powerful evolution of the Water-type Clauncher, Clawitzer lives in the oceans of the Paldea region.

The powerful Water-type Clawitzer is an exclusive pocket monster Pokemon Violet, which can be discovered by players traveling through the oceanic locations on the edges of the Paldea region. Additionally, players looking to catch the level 37 evolution form Clauncher can do so in the wild, although Clawitzer is a much rarer find than its predecessor. With a powerful ability that plays to its strengths, Clawitzer could be a significant addition to a player’s Pokémon roster when faced with the tough Gym Leaders, Team Star Bosses, and rivals they encounter throughout their game.

Clawitzer can be spotted on north and Southern Paldean Sea, over the wide shores that form these places. While Clauncher is certainly the more common find in these areas, Clawitzer doesn’t have the same rarity as the futuristic Paradox Pokémon in Pokemon Violet, which is much harder to find during the aftermath. Typically seen between Level 25-30, players who choose to capture a wild Clawitzer can gain evolution at a lower level than Clauncher would need to reach in order to transform. While this takes Clawitzer longer to train, he gains access to his special ability “mega launcher,’ with better stats than Clauncher.

What makes Clawitz so special in Pokémon Violet & Scarlet

Clawitzer’s Water-type affiliation makes him strong through the Special Attack stat; It’s the highest trait, boosted by moves like Hydro Pump and Surf through Same-Type-Attack Bonus (STAB). Players who chose the Fire-type starter Fuecoco in Pokemon Violet can catch Clawitzer to balance their team against the Water-type or gain the upper hand against Rock and Ground-types that would otherwise wreak havoc on their starting Pokémon with super-effective attacks. Despite its innate weaknesses to Electric and Grass-types, Clawitzer has decent Special Defense and Normal Defense, making it more resilient than other creatures in the game.

The ability mega launcher Gives Clawitzer a 50% damage bonus to Aura and Impulse moves like Water Impulse and Aura Orb. Players searching the region in nearby areas Porto Marinada market and Porto Malinara Lighthouse Wild Clawitzers give you the best chance of finding this unique ability quickly. Combined with the aforementioned STAB bonus, Clawitzer can deal massive damage when used against even the strongest Titan-type Pokémon, which it already has a light KO advantage against. Players looking to find and capture Clawitzer Pokemon Violet should consider using this trait for an effective offensive strategy within their already growing roster of powerful pocket monsters.
