Canadian forest fire smoke invades from the north-west. The smoke is thicker west of St. Louis. But there’s smoke in the sky around St. Louis. The air quality index It’s moderate for St. Louis today and the smoke isn’t as heavy as June.

The sky may look a bit milky, but otherwise it’s clear. There was also some fog in the river valleys this morning as the sun rose.

Canadian smoke is expected to remain in the area for the next day or two. So look forward to even mistier skies and a spectacular sunset tonight.

Very nice weather is expected. Thursday’s highs will be in the 80s. Tonight temperatures will drop to below 60 degrees in the greater area and to 50 degrees further out.

Storms in western Missouri could send some clouds our way early Friday. We should have nice weather all weekend. The chance of rain returns Monday night and into Tuesday.
