William H. Macy joins the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes

meeting has reported that William H. Macy has joined the cast of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apesthe next chapter in the monkeys 20th century saga. It’s not clear who will play Macy in the film, but he’ll be a welcome addition to the franchise whether he’s portraying an ape or a human.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes started production in Australia last October with Owen Teague (the booth) in the leading role as the new leading primate. In addition to Owen Teague and William H. Macy, Freya Allan (The Witcher), Peter Macon (The Orville), Eka Darville (jessica jones), Kevin Durand (The strain), Travis Jeffery (unbroken), Sara Wiseman (One of us is lying), Neil Sandilands (sweet tooth), Ras-Samuel Welda’abzgi (The Glade) and Lydia Peckham (Cowboy Bebop).

Wes Ball, who directed The Maze Runner trilogy, directs this new one planet of monkeys Movie. He has previously said that while it will go its own way, it will still honor the original films, particularly the more recent trilogy of Planet of the Apes: Prevolution, Dawn of the planet from the monkeysand War for the Planet of the Apes.

These last three films are one of the great trilogies that we have in modern film history. They’re just so well done. They honored the original films they sprang from, the Charlton Heston films, but they grounded it in a modern sensibility and it just worked. Caesar is one of the great movie characters that we will have over time. So what are you doing to follow up, right? At the same time, I wasn’t interested in doing a fourth part either. We also want to do our own thing.

Ball continued, saying that she “have a way of staying in the universe that was created before us, but we’re also opening up by being able to do some really cool new stuff.” All the way back to the original, the planet of monkeys Franchise is one of my absolute favorites and the latest trilogy of films just keeps getting better and better, so I can’t wait to see where the next stage in the saga takes us.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will come to the cinemas May 24, 2024.
