Wise revamped as it reaches 16 million customer base

Wise, the global technology company, has launched a new look and feel after reaching 16 million customers worldwide. The company said in a statement that the visual overhaul reflects Wise’s global community, continues to expand, and aims to enhance users’ experiences with new products.

“The mission is to build money without borders and create a fast, convenient, low-cost and transparent global alternative to the traditional system of correspondence,” the company said in a statement.

It claims to have around 6 million active customers who move over £25 billion every quarter. The platform allows customers to send, spend, receive and hold money in over 50 currencies. The company recently introduced “interest” on assets in the UK and “balance cashback” in Europe to the account – features that allow customers to earn a return on the money they hold in Wise.

Wise has also announced the launch of Assets in Singapore, and the feature will be available to customers in Europe next.

Meanwhile, the company has secured licenses to launch more services in India and Israel soon, including the multi-currency account and card. The company also enables its customers to send money to 11 other mobile wallets in Asia, including Malaysia’s Touch n Go, Philippines’ GrabPay and Indonesia’s ShopeePay
