Woman (40) was rushed to hospital after a suspected assault near Dublin Airport

The incident happened around 8am on the R108 in Huntstown, near Dublin Airport.

The woman, aged in her 40s, was later taken to Beaumont Hospital where she continues to receive treatment.

Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

There were no arrests.

Investigations are ongoing.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area between 7.30am and 8.15am or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. Especially those who may have video footage. Gardaí can be contacted at Dublin Airport Station on 01 666 4950
