Woman jumps from second floor window to escape Philadelphia house fire – NBC10 Philadelphia

A woman jumped out of a second-story window to escape a house fire in Philadelphia’s Somerton neighborhood, according to fire officials.

The fire broke out just before midnight Friday in the 1100 block of Ferndale Street.

According to the fire department, the woman was taken to the hospital to be treated for her injuries.

The fire department was able to bring the fire under control. Investigators did not provide any information about the cause of the fire.
