Xbox confirms it won’t be at the biggest gaming convention

XBOX is the latest of the big three to confirm it won’t be attending E3.

E3, which starts on June 13th, is one of the biggest games fairs in the world, unveiling tons of new games every year.

PlayStation stopped participating in the event in 2019, instead hosting its own summer event.

The company held its State of Play in February and is expected to host more showcases later this year.

In late February, Nintendo confirmed it would not be attending the conference, as it unveiled a number of games in its February Nintendo Direct.

The company released a statement, saying: “Since this year’s E3 show did not fit into our plans, we have made the decision not to attend.

“However, we were and are a strong supporter of ESA and E3.”

Xbox is the last to confirm they won’t be attending, but will be hosting their own presentation around the same time.

In conversation with IGNA spokesperson said: “We can’t wait to host our Xbox Games Showcase on June 11 and will announce more details later.

“We are also looking forward to streaming our event as part of E3 Digital and will not be in the E3 exhibition space.”

Xbox-owned publisher Bethesda will also be making a presentation on June 11 specifically for its upcoming open-world space adventure, Starfield, an Xbox exclusive.

This will be the first time the big three won’t be attending E3, which will be a major blow to the event.

PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo have always been the most anticipated showcases at E3, showcasing some of the biggest games of the year.

Other major publishers are expected to appear at E3.

Traditionally, Ubisoft, Square Enix and EA have hosted impressive showcases at E3, announcing and showcasing major upcoming titles.

Still, the absence of the big three will surely be felt by audiences.
