Yellowjackets: The One Line Season 2 Won’t Cross

During his first season Yellow jackets proved that it wasn’t afraid to take risks. The series follows a high school girls’ soccer team whose plane crashes in the wilderness in 1996, while also showing us how the survivors have learned to deal with (or rather not deal with) their trauma 25 years later. In the pilot episode, we see an unidentified teenage girl being hunted down, killed and eaten in a ritual ceremony in the forest. The girls almost kill teenage Travis (Kevin Alves) in the woods after accidentally mixing mushrooms with homemade alcohol. The finale reveals that adult Taissa Turner (Tawny Cypress) sacrificed the family dog ​​in a fugue state to win the Senate seat she was campaigning for. But one of the things that fans are worried about is the fate of teenage Shauna’s (Sophie Nélisse) baby.

In the wilderness, Shauna discovers that meeting her best friend Jackie’s (Ella Purnell) boyfriend has had dire consequences – she’s pregnant. Although we know that adult Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) has a daughter, Callie (Sarah Desjardins) is too young to be the child Shauna is pregnant with in the woods, and so far Shauna has not mentioned that she is an adult child has. The circumstances of her pregnancy are already far from ideal, but combined with a potentially demonic forest, young girls going insane, and a confirmed descent into ritual cannibalism, it’s understandable to be concerned about the baby’s fate and if it is eaten or not.

However, some of the actors playing the older versions of these characters have already confirmed that baby eating is the only lineage there Yellow jackets will definitely not cross. In an interview with Jimmy Fallon last year (via The wrap), Christina Ricci says she asked the show’s writers, “We’re not eating Shauna’s baby, are we?” and according to Ricci, “They said no.” Tawny Cypress further confirms this in a recent interview with Weekly entertainment that there are a few lines that Yellow jackets won’t cross over and say, “You’re not going to eat the baby. But beheading dogs? Total.”
