Bill was better prepared than anyone for this Cordyceps outbreak as he had all the tools, food and ammunition he could ever need. Taurus people are incredibly resourceful, but they’re also slow to trust, as evidenced by Bill’s isolationist tendencies. However, the fact that he is ruled by romantic Venus soon becomes apparent as he finally found someone worthy of opening his heart to.

Despite the world shrouded in darkness, disease and destruction, Sam never lets go of his childish wonder and enthusiasm. Twins are infinitely youthful in their curiosity and interest in learning, which Sam shows once he stumbles upon a playroom. Also, Gemini is the zodiac sign of communication, and the way Sam communicates through sign language in a post-apocalyptic world is a core aspect of his character. In a world without kids, schools, or any semblance of normalcy, Sam is still a curious twin, ready to learn more.

Tommy is a person you know you can trust, which makes his Cancer energy clear. In a world where you must fight to survive and choose violence to defend yourself, Tommy takes a different path. All Joel’s caring and compassionate brother wants is a solid family and a loving home. He had to leave Joel behind to create the domestic life he had dreamed of, which is so cancerous of him. At the end of the day, Cancers only care about what matters most.

Kathleen is the domineering and intense leader of a resistance group in Kansas City. Despite not being a character in the original video game, Kathleen manages to dominate the screen just like the feisty and fearsome lion she is. It’s so Leo of her to be a powerful woman who has a pack of burly men as her bodyguards and a whole clan of loyal subjects to follow her! The sun-ruled lion is famous for his warm and welcoming presence, which is what makes Kathleen so creepy. It may appear like a ray of light, but standing so close to the sun will eventually burn you!

Riley may be Ellie’s friend and potential love interest, but she’s also her provider and protector. Riley has an incredibly practical approach to surviving in this post-apocalyptic world, making her someone just as effective as a Virgo. Instead of waiting for someone to tell her what to do and how to do it, Riley not only finds out for herself, but finds out how to do it even better. Riley is someone who, like every Virgo, wants to actually contribute and work hard for something bigger than herself.

Frank could be nothing short of a Libra. This is the zodiac sign of relationships, friendship and of course love. Frank’s impact in this post-apocalyptic world is that he reminds us that we’re still human. Despite the cordyseps outbreak and the terror of living in a ruthless reality, Frank manages to create a normal and vibrant suburban life for himself and his partner Bill. He prepares beautiful dinners, invites friends over for a glass of wine, and continues to cherish the memories of our culture and humanity. Libra is the zodiac sign of justice, and Frank takes revenge on this corrupt world by refusing to let it ruin him.

Scorpios are basically human lie detectors. Tommy’s faithful and no-nonsense wife Maria could only be a Scorpio considering she could tell Ellie and Joel right away that they were leaving out information. Scorpios are also very serious about strengthening and maintaining their circle of trust, which is why she warned Ellie to be very careful about who she trusts, because it’s the people you trust who are capable of betraying you . I’ll take the “Scorpio Advice” for $200, please!

Sagittarians are always willing to tread less traveled paths. While everyone fears going underground, Henry hopes it’s actually a lot safer than everyone says it is. Though wrong, when an army of infected eventually explodes out of the ground, his courage to try something different helped them travel around town and escape Kathleen’s cult. If anyone is going to be lucky when it comes to narrowly escaping death on their adventures, it’s a Sagittarius.

Joel is a hard-nosed and resilient individual who maneuvers this post-apocalyptic world like a Capricorn. A father figure through and through, Joel responded to the trauma of losing his daughter in a very Saturnian way, which was to bury her deep and swallow back. Capricorns are made to overcome adversity and embrace ascension, but they do so by dividing their very deep source of emotions. The moment Ellie enters the scene, Joel’s paternal instincts kick in again, and though he appears rough and unkind, his heart is as pure as it gets.

Like all Aquarians, Marlene is working towards something much bigger than herself. A dedicated member of the Fireflies, Marlene is willing to make difficult decisions for the perceived betterment of humanity. And while we may find her decisions morally wrong, Marlene is very Aquarius about doing what she thinks needs to be done, regardless of how she’s judged for it. Like every Aquarius, Marlene is a revolutionary, as evidenced by her commitment to developing a vaccine. However, the potential downsides of this make Aquarius a zodiac sign that can get so caught up in striving for a better tomorrow that they forget to do the right thing today.

If there is one adjective that could describe the Pisces experience, it would be sacrifice. Ellie is an incredibly old soul and wise for her age who must bear the guilt of survivors for being immune to cordyceps and watching her loved ones die around her. That’s why Ellie is more than willing to put her needs aside for the sake of others, even if it means sacrificing her entire life. She is also a very imaginative person, dreaming of the world before it was destroyed and how beautiful it must have been. In fact, it’s her imagination that allows her to move away from her trauma, which is so Pisces about her.
